The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, the Production Planning Clerk will support the department with the day-to-day job requirements.
Main responsibilities include:
- To confirm customer orders based on capacity availability and material availability.
- To issue work orders.
- To provide lead times to customer requests.
- To follow production and order fulfilment.
- To monitor budget figures and production efficiency.
- To highlight anticipated shortages to Buyers.
- To maintain safety stocks in Oracle.
- To highlight capacity issues to Planning and Production Managers.
- To update Customer Service and Logistics of potentially backlog items.
- To provide Customer Service with new delivery dates and reasons for backlog items.
- To assist in refining and developing further MRP system.
